See you there?
Events I’m intrigued by and/or working on. If I’m not there in person, I’ll be there in spirit!
- Save the Date: Art Hop will take place September 11th, 12th, and 13th this year. Registration is opening on April 2nd! Visit seaba.com for more info and to register. Questions? Find me at outreach@seaba.com.
- The SEABA Center has hit the ground running! While I’m not as closely involved in this endeavor as I am in Art Hop, it’s pretty thrilling to get to see things taking shape.
- Vets Town Hall‘s calendar is busiest in November, but there are a couple of events coming up earlier in the year, in MA and WA.

News I’m psyched to share, whether it’s about my work or others’
- My work with Vets Town Hall has been featured on the Cornell alumni website! This has made me feel like I’ve gotten a good grade 🙂 – but more importantly, I’m glad for the opportunity to reach Cornelians who may want to organize a Vets Town Hall or otherwise support the organization’s work.
- The 2025 Art Hop program received the New England Newspaper & Press Association award for Events Special Section. Each year I get to work with the folks at Seven Days and with SEABA director Christy Mitchell on this program, so it’s exciting to see it get that recognition.
- Sebastian Junger, founder of Vets Town Hall and one of my favorite authors, is writing on Substack. Read it here.
- Seven Days did a great piece on the SEABA Center, titled “The SEABA Center Celebrates Love in Its Inaugural Art Show“
- Looking back at 2025, Vets Town Halls in Vermont got some respectable press coverage, and I braved the microphone and did a live interview on Vermont Edition. (Huge thanks to all the local media outlets that helped us get the word out.)
In the Mix
Explorations and occasions for curiosity
- I recently learned about the concept of interoception, which is your awareness of what’s going on inside your body – from hunger and sleepiness to being able to sense your own heartbeat.
- I’d say I have a high degree of interoception – sometimes too high! – but I’ve talked to friends who say they could use a little more of this.
- I’m curious about you: Can you feel your own heartbeat, or do you not even notice when you’re hungry? What types of events (tea? dancing?) help you feel grounded and present in your body?
