NE Women’s Herbal Conference

Teacher Coordinator and Host for the New England Women’s Herbal Conference, an 800+ attendee gathering co-created by Gail Ulrich and Rosemary Gladstar. From 1987 through 2019, the conference brought together herbalists, healers, and plant lovers.

Based on my work with the International Herb Symposium, I was hired into the same role and supported the conference through teacher coordination, hospitality, and programming. I streamlined systems for collecting and organizing teacher information, using tools such as Google Forms and Sheets to manage biographies, class descriptions, travel logistics, and technical needs in ways that were both accessible for teachers and practical for staff.

I managed communications and hospitality for 40–50 teachers, coordinated travel, ensured class equipment needs were met, and oversaw assistants and work-study volunteers during the conference. I also supported the Director with scheduling, budgeting, and teacher compensation.

My work at the conference was informed by training with Rosemary Gladstar at Sage Mountain, including an Intensive Herbal Apprenticeship (2011), the Science & Art of Herbalism Home Study Course (2011), and the Advanced Herbal Training Program (2012).
